Curious about linking to paypal.... 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi there--- fantastic component! I can't wait for your pro version

questions though.... how automated is the current component's payment process?

Im making a site that has a substantial area for advertisements. I would LOVE to find a component that allows prospective advertisers to buy space for a duration of time and upload their ad with little to no assistance from me (and hopefully get a renew email upon expiration)... are any parts of this possible at the moment, or is it all possible only in the Pro Version?

I see that on your current version you have a paypal button that will take me into my paypal account and gives me an invoice for $7/month. (which paypal component is this, btw?)

what happens then? once they pay me, i then have to contact them to get the files emailed to me, then ive got to set up and monitor the ad and expiration date myself?

im trying to figure out how much work im signing myself up for...

Apx when is the Pro Version due out, btw?

thanks for the help

The Paypal button is not ready yet. The process is semi-automatic, the buyer must send the files, after reading some explanations on a specific page or in PayPal for the product acquired. And about the ads, the expiration at the moment is done just to remove the expired ads, but not to send automatic messages. You'll have to track this.

So, in near future will be a release that can send messages to the owner of the ad and to the admin. But still you have to setup the ads. A fully automated version where the user can pay and place his own ad is maybe step 2 or even 3 of the development, because is necessary for the admin to verify the ads posted not to be malicious sites.
